First Step provides an assessment centre service for our foyers in east London (Focus E15, Redbridge and Drapers City), and is the first of its kind in the UK Foyer movement.
First Step provides a pre-Foyer assessment process by which we work with young people to answer the question "is a foyer the most suitable place for you?".

First Step opened on 1st of July 2002 and although it is based in the London Borough of Newham it also services our foyers in Redbridge and Bethnal Green.
